Privacy Policy

This policy explains our current data practices, which are intentionally minimal while the project is in an early phase.

1. No Account Requirement

You can browse most of this site without creating an account. We do not currently provide personal account dashboards or profile pages.

2. Current Data Collection Status

As of February 21, 2026, we do not run account registration, profile tracking, or a public submission form that collects personal data through the site UI.

3. Limited Data That May Still Be Processed

  • Basic request metadata may be generated automatically by hosting or infrastructure providers for uptime and security.
  • If you email us, we receive the information you include in that email and attachments.

4. How We Use Information

  • Keep the site available, stable, and secure.
  • Respond to legal notices, correction requests, and abuse reports.
  • Review and respond to tips or context you voluntarily send by email.
  • Comply with applicable law and lawful legal process.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information when legally required, for infrastructure operations, or to protect rights, safety, and site security.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We do not currently deploy marketing or behavioral tracking cookies from our own application. Essential platform-level cookies or storage may still be used by the browser or hosting stack.

7. Data Retention

We aim to retain as little data as possible. Information received by email and any system-generated logs may be retained only as needed for editorial, security, operational, or legal reasons.

8. Your Privacy Requests

If we hold personal data about you, you can request access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal exceptions and verification requirements. Send requests to privacy@epsteingate.org.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this policy if data practices change. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
